Cyclo-tourist Ride – Sulle Strade di Montalbano

The first edition of the Cicloturistica Sulle Strade di Montalbano (Cycling Tour on the Roads of Montalbano) was conceived as an exciting cycling experience, traversing the locations and roads where Inspector Montalbano filmed his famous series. This magical territory is nestled in the Baroque Ibleo area, known for its 18 UNESCO sites.
The Cicloturistica will take you past Don Balduccio Sinagra’s home (Donnafugata Castle), Montalbano’s house (located in Punta Secca along with the famous “da Enzo” restaurant), the Donnalucata seafront, the setting for many scenes, Scicli with its police station and many other iconic locations, and then Modica, and finally Giarratana and Ibla.
The perfect fusion of sport and culture, in the spirit of friendship and sharing not so much (or not only) the effort, but all the views, smells, and sensations this area has to offer.

The registration fee is €25 and includes:

• Cycle excursion race pack
• Commemorative jersey
• Cycle excursion bib number
• Savoury refreshments upon arrival
• Participation medal

Click the large red REGISTER button.
Enter your name along with your other personal information.
Under “Club”, if you are not actually a member of a sports club, enter “CICLOTURISTICA”, enter a random membership number, and select “OTHER” for the ENTITY.
Remember to enter the actual expiration date of your competitive medical certificate, which you will attach in the next line.
You can purchase the commemorative jersey in the square throughout the weekend. Skip this step.

The “On the Roads of Montalbano” cycling tour kicks off on September 20th with a French start from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.

You can participate with any bicycle, be it a racing bike, mountain bike, or e-bike.

The route does not benefit from the closure of intersections and dedicated roads like the Races. The cycle tourist will then move independently using the GPS with the tracks that can be downloaded now and passing through the checkpoints which will be located in:

Modica – (km 93.71)
Giarratana – (Km103.2)
